Rimudo Roun is a 16-year-old young man, the first person Takiko, the Genbu no Miko, meets when she is whisked away to the snowy land of Hokkan. Of course, he's female when they first meet, but that's a minor detail that we'll save for later. The point is, by Fushigi Yuugi rules, he's the first seishi she meets, thus he's the one that she falls in love with. :'D He appears right at the end of chapter one and later saves her from the monsters she's been attacked by -- but only after being inspired by seeing her attempt to fend them off herself and save them both. (Takiko had thought that Rimudo was in distress, which was definitely not the case) But it's Takiko who carries the sick Rimudo on her back afterwards and takes him to safety. Thus, in a strange role reversal from the beginning chapter of the original Fushigi Yuugi, it's not the seishi that saves the priestess -- it's the priestess that saves the seishi, and that's what this series is all about.
