Heaven must be just like this

Well, you've arrived somehow at the end of the site. So, out of all the characters in Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden, why waste time making a shrine to Rimudo? I mean, he's kind of a jerk and isn't that much hotter than other bishounen.

Well, I like Rimudo. A lot. He's my absolute Fushigi Yuugi seishi so far, ranked even above Nuriko, and that's saying a bunch. Many people didn't like the original FY series because of, well, Miaka and Tamahome. The characters themselves were pretty shallow, and I'm sure everyone was really annoyed by their on-off relationship and OMG!angst.

Luckily for all those people, Rimudo, although the main male protagonist, is nothing like Tamahome. And thank the gods, Takiko is nothing like Miaka. And therefore, Rimudo and Takiko's relationship is nothing like Miaka and Tamahome's. Not to say that they don't get their fair share of angst, but at least they're not as immature as their "predecessors". You can breathe your sigh of relief now.

In short, I created this shrine because I really love Rimudo as a character. There isn't really any other shrine to him open right now (even four years after I opened this site) and I think he needs some love. I neglected the site horribly for a while, but now we're back in business. ♥

And why did I pick the name "Prince" rather than some song lyric or something "profound", as is oh-so-trendy in shrines today? Simply because I think it fits the best. I know it's plain, but work with me here. Rimudo is a prince of Hokkan and were it not for his father being a superstitious, self-righteous nutcase, he'd probably end up being Emperor. Rimudo also acts like a prince. He can be very authoritative, and very stubborn. He seems to possess a sort of regalness, too, and has the perfect "emperor's scowl". So, I thought the name suited a shrine to him, because he is a prince, and he acts like one. Trust me, if there was some hip song lyric I could have used for the title, I would have. ;D

Genbu Kaiden itself obviously does not belong to me, and this site, which is unofficial, is only for educational and entertainment purposes.
